Resource Conservation Technician Job Posting

 
The Fayette County Conservation District is looking for candidates to fill a full-time position as a Resource Conservation Technician. The position requires both office and fieldwork.

Education requirements: Bachelor’s degree in environmental studies, natural sciences, agriculture or similar field of study. One to two years of similar job experience preferred.

The technician is responsible for providing technical assistance for the Chapter 105 Water Obstruction and Encroachment Program and the Chapter 102 Erosion and Sedimentation Pollution Control program, supporting the National Pollution Discharge Elimination Systems program. This position requires fieldwork – must be able to walk over rough terrain – and Chapter 102 and Chapter 105 plan and permit reviews.

Once hired, and every 4 years thereafter, employees must be able to pass the PA Child Abuse History Clearance (Act 151) and PA state police criminal background check. Salary is commensurate with education and experience.
